Island Build Challenge

Summer is here and we're taking an island vacation! This month's island build challenge is dedicated to saving the ocean. Each player will build a unique island in Fortnite Creative to hang out and play with their friends -- throw on your favorite summer skins and let the fun begin! The winner of this month's challenge will receive a limited edition ESOGA Playtester T-Shirt AND have their choice to adopt a marine animal from Oceana -- the largest organization in the world devoted to ocean and marine conservation. Before we get building, let's take a second to appreciate why saving the ocean is so important!

Why do we care about the Ocean?

• The ocean is the largest ecosystem on Earth and covers 70% of the Earth's surface.

• Over half of the world's oxygen is produced by the ocean.

• The ocean helps regulate our climate and absorbs carbon dioxide - reducing the impact of climate change.

• The majority of all life on earth lives in the ocean.

• The ocean is a primary source of food for more than 1 billion people around the world.

What's happening?

The ocean is suffering from pollution, overfishing, mining, and destruction of habitats.

What can you do to help?

Here's 10 ways YOU can help save the ocean -- if we all pitch in, we can make a big difference!

Build Time

The building begins on July 5th, 2021. Players will have until July 31st, 2021 to complete their builds!

How to Join

You must be an ESOGA Game Club Member and have an active subscription to play. No additional fees or sign up forms necessary!

Gameplay Instructions

• Each player will build an island in Fortnite Creative.
  

• From your creative Hub, find your golden rift and select 'Use Console'.
  

• Under 'My Islands', select 'Create New'.
  

• Select an Island Type from the 'Starter Islands' or 'Template Islands' menu.
  

• Once you've named your island, you will be able to enter your new island by walking into your golden rift.
  

• Then create and design your island however you wish. You may also add any unique game settings or modes for extra fun!

Voting & Prizes

• Players will vote for their favorite Island on August, 2nd 2021.
  

• The player with the most votes for "Favorite Island" will receive an ESOGA Playtester T-Shirt AND have their choice to adopt a marine animal from Oceana.
