Esports & Online Gaming Association

 

ESOGA is an organization built on community values with a commitment to providing gaming experiences that are fun, inclusive, and safe.

Player Code of Conduct
All players of ESOGA agree to abide and uphold the terms of ESOGA’s Player Code of Conduct, Rules, and Terms of Service. Any action or behavior that is deemed to be a violation of our Code of Conducts, Rules, and/or Terms of Service may result in disciplinary action or removal from all current and future programs and events.

 

  1. Act with Integrity: Be respectful and treat others with honesty, fairness, dignity, and sportsmanship. We do not support toxicity or any form of harassment towards others.
     

  2. Be Safe: Always keep the personal information of yourself and others safe. Be aware of your digital footprint and remember to think before you share.
     

  3. Be a Good Sport: Do not intentionally ruin a game or match for other players. This includes leaving early, stalling or frequent pausing, text/voice spamming, use of cheats or hacks, abuse of game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage, and excessive emoting, taunting, and celebrations.
     

  4. Keep it Clean: No offensive or obscene usernames, language, hate speech, or NSFW content.


Coach Code of Conduct
As a Coach of ESOGA, you are being granted special access and permissions to our events and programs, and agree to abide and uphold the terms of ESOGA's Coach Code of Conduct, Rules, and Terms of Service. Additionally, Coaches are required to be 18 years of age or older, become SafeSport Trained, complete a background screening, and act in accordance with ESOGA's values at all times.

 

  1. Act with Integrity: Be respectful and set the example for honesty, fairness, dignity, and professionalism to all involved in our programs and events.
     

  2. Educate: Promote knowledge, education, and skill building. Help players with technical troubleshooting and gameplay mechanics. Share best practices for online safety, digital citizenship, and social emotional learning.
     

  3. Maintain Safety: Oversee security of programs and events. Provide online supervision of team and player communications. Report and communicate with ESOGA on program and event safety.
     

  4. Support the Experience: Monitor player engagement and interactions to ensure fun and sportsmanship. Communicate with ESOGA on program and event feedback from players and parents.
     

  5. Provide Balance: Support the well-being and health of all players at all times. Encourage balance of activities and interactions.
     

  6. Attend & Participate: Be present for matches, practices, and events in Discord and engage with players and coaches.
     

  7. Manage Gameplay & Conduct: Assist with gameplay instructions and in-game conduct. Encourage sportsmanship and inclusion. Report and communicate with ESOGA on gameplay and player conduct.
     

  8. Resolve Issues: Take necessary actions to resolve disputes and in-game issues. Report and communicate with ESOGA within 24 hours of any event or program issues.
     

  9. Promote Sportsmanship & Player Code of Conduct: Encourage fair play, respect, and sportsmanship. Promote and instruct players to follow the Player Code of Conduct.
     

Notice of Action or Removal

Any action or behavior that is deemed to be a violation of our Code of Conducts, Rules, and/or Terms of Service may result in disciplinary action or removal from all current and future programs and events. ESOGA and League Admins retain the right to act in their reasonable discretion to impose any of the following disciplinary actions on a player or coach depending on the severity, intent, and frequency of any inappropriate conduct.
 

  • Informal Warning: A verbal warning given to a player or coach to correct or rectify any misconduct.
     

  • Official Warning: A written warning, filed with the league and issued to any player or coach to correct or rectify any misconduct.
     

  • Suspension or Removal: A written notice, filed with the league and issued to any player or coach with action to suspend or remove from current and/or future programs and events. No refund shall be eligible for a player or coach in the event of a suspension or removal.
     

All decisions regarding the interpretation of these rules and actions for misconduct, lie solely with ESOGA, of which are final. ESOGA's decisions with respect to these Rules cannot be appealed and shall not give rise to any claim for monetary damages or any other legal or equitable remedy.
